Pittsburgh artist Jane Lucchino began her career as a trade show exhibit designer after graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1981.  A decade later she left the exhibit industry and became a designer and illustrator for various advertising agencies.

Eventually, Jane’s focus shifted to painting. Working primarily in oils she began painting portraits and soon acquired commissions. She is a member of the  Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Society of Artists, where her work has been selected for highly competitive juried shows.

Not limited to the canvas, Jane painted internationally themed murals in the classrooms of Sacred Heart Elementary School in Shadyside. The 17-room, multi-year project was completed in 2013.

Continuing to evolve with subject choices and as an artist, Jane paints a wide variety subjects. In addition to portraits, her portfolio includes nature scenes that have caught her eye and still-life paintings.
